Student Leadership
Each year 24 Prefects from Leaving Cert are elected by their peers at the beginning of the academic year and this includes a Head Girl, a Deputy Head Girl and a Leaving Cert Prefect.
The role of the Prefect will vary but, at the core of everything, Prefects are role models and leaders who are an advocate for the student voice, support students, work closely with school management and represent the school throughout the year.
Each Prefect is assigned to a class group in the school as part of our student support system. Prefects complete the LIFT programme (Leading Ireland’s Future Together) during the year that supports their development as leaders of our school community and into the future.
