Handball County Competition
The secondary school county competition was held in Moycullen handball alley on sat 13th December.Thanks to all the girls who came and played and special thanks to Pierce Lalor for refereeing all the junior games in court 1 and Laura Cronin Doherty and Aoife Walsh who referred all the first yr games in court 2.Big thank you to Mary Walsh who kept the games running smoothly.
Results
First yr B singles Lily Griffen played super,was unlucky and had to bow out in the semi final 13/15 ,13/15.
Next up was First yr C singles Ellen Harte who played very well but lost to the eventual winner.
Junior Girls Doubles
Louisa Cawley and Ailbhe Moughan 3rd yr had a great semi final against Colaiste Bhaile Chlair which they won and got into the final against their club mates Ella McKeown and Romy Devane ,Dominican College.All 4 girls played well with Ailbhe and Louisa winning the final of the junior B title.
Junior A single:Chloe O Donnell Ty was in the final against Freya Donnellan,not to be today for Chloe but well played.
Junior B singles
Mary Berminghan 2nd yr won her semi final and went on to win the final, both were great games.
Ellie Corey 3rd yr won her semi final and went on to win the final .Well done to Ellie and all the girls again.
Next weekend 20th December in Moycullen we have Junior Girls A Doubles (u16).Good luck to Aoife Walsh and Laura Cronin Doherty against Colaiste Ghobnait Inis Oirr in the final.
